Latitude. A name to strike fear into the heart of every single sailor on the face of the planet. Yaaargh.
But not into the heart of festival goers. Because Latitude festival is a glorious melange of music, comedy, literature, poetry, theatre, cabaret and film, all
taking place in the lovely surroundings of Henham Park, Suffolk from the 17th to the 20th of July.

But not mime. Definitely not mime. This year is year three for the festival and even in that short
space of time it's quicky established itself as one of the best. And honestly, where else are you
going to get to see Interpol, Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Rós (with a new album to showcase), Bill Bailey,
Rich Hall and Hanif Kureishi? Although presumably not on the same stage at the same time.
If that wasn't enough, just look at the veritable banquet of diverse acts performing: The
Breeders, Grinderman (also with a new album on the cards), The Go! Team, the ubiquitous but still rather special Crystal Castles, Blondie... frankly, why would you even bother with
any other festival?
Fancy it do you? Of course you do, you ain't daft. So it's fortunate

Latitude takes place on 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th July 2008 at Henham Park, Southwold, Suffiolk. 4-day camping tickets cost £130 and one-day tickets cost £55, with various VIP accommodation options also available from here. For more information please visit the festival website.
